The dashboard provides insights into filing trends and top applicants at the EPO in the field of energy storage technologies, a key enabler of the energy transition and the integration of renewable energy sources into modern power systems.

Users can explore the data at granular levels of technology through a visual mapping of more than 60 technical fields and subfields, organised across five hierarchical levels. For each field and subfield, the dashboard offers charts showing the leading applicants, the evolution of filings over the past ten years by region of origin, and a world map illustrating filings by country of origin.
